Born in Edinburgh and raised in Cumbria, I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a First Class BA Honours in Visual Communication and Animation. For the past 14 years, my illustration and design work has primarily featured in the Scotch whisky and drinks industry as published artwork in books, magazines, websites and bottle labels.
Typically, I work in pen and ink to create detailed landscapes, buildings, portraits and isometric illustrations as well as Scottish myths and legends.
As a freelance designer, artist and consultant, I work with companies and individuals to produce eye-catching, bespoke commissions. Additionally, I spend plenty of my free time bike packing and wild camping through some of the remotest parts of Scotland. Many of the distilleries and places featured throughout my artwork were visited during such trips with sketches, studies and tours of the sites used to pull together the final compositions and details.
If you are interested in collaborating with me for commission-based artwork, please get in touch.
