2027 calendar illustrated with myths, legends, folklore and tall tales from Celtic Europe

The calendar comes in a protective biodegradable cellophane sleeve, gift-wrapped in yellow tissue paper with a complimentary Oak Green Man sticker.

The second edition of the annual release, an illustrated folklore calendar featuring stories researched, collated and illustrated by Scottish illustrator Steven Shand.

Expanding on the details and feedback from last year’s release, the 2027 edition now features stories from across Celtic Europe, including Brittany, Cornwall, Ireland, Galithia, Cantabria, the Isle of Man and Wales

It’s a perfect gift for those with a fascination for both Scotland and Celtic Europe’s legacy of storytelling and legend, accentuated with Pagan and Gaelic teachings, festivals, names and traditions.

The calendar includes:

  • Twelve illustrated stories from Celtic Europe

  • Celtic language months and days

  • Pagan sabbats and rituals

  • Folk dates and unusual occurrences

  • Illustrated plants and runes from the Ogham and Celtic lunar cycle

  • Annual lunar cycle

  • Solar observances

  • Astronomical seasons

  • Meteorological seasons

  • 2027 month- and day-dated planning chart for you to write on.

Many of the illustrated stories found in this calendar were originally produced as labels for a limited edition series of Scotch whisky from independent bottler Hannah Whisky Merchants Ltd. named ‘The Samhain Series’, whilst several others were researched and drawn for the sole intention of publishing in this calendar. Each story is hand-drawn with fineliner, alcohol marker and acrylic on blue paper.

The green man, the Oak King, is depicted in the Celtic Tree Calendar. Oak, ‘Darach’ in Gaelic or ‘Duir’ in the ancient Ogham calendar, runs from June 10th to July 7th, being the 7th lunar cycle of the Year. The Oak King also reflects the warmer half of the year, after the summer solstice.

A perfect gift for anyone born between the 10th of June and the 7th of July or celebrating Midsummer, which takes place over the lunar cycle.

Made from 100% certified organic combed ring‑spun cotton, the Stanley/Stella Sparker pairs refined quality with sustainable production. Its soft single‑jersey fabric has been pre‑washed for a smooth feel and reliable fit that lasts. The 180GSM composition combines 70% organic cotton and 30% recycled cotton, maintaining both comfort and environmental responsibility.

Designed with a 1x1 rib at the neckline, self‑fabric back neck tape, and set‑in sleeves, this t‑shirt delivers a contemporary cut that sits neatly while allowing natural movement. Twin‑needle topstitching at the sleeve cuffs and hem enhances durability and detail.

Illustrated, designed, and hand‑printed in Leith, each piece is created to order, celebrating slow craft and responsible design. Stanley/Stella garments are produced in Fair Wear Foundation–accredited factories, ensuring transparency and ethical standards throughout.

Please allow up to two weeks for delivery, as each item is printed by hand.
